Inventory Section of the Web App Settings Inventory Adjustment
If Manager approval is required:
- All counting sessions done on mobile devices need to be approved in the Web App on the Counting Sessions page.
- Counting sessions and all QOH adjustments performed by "users" in the Web app can only be saved and need to be submitted to be reviewed by the owner or a manager. Submitted counting sessions can be reviewed on the Counting Sessions page.
Counting sessions performed by the
owner or
managers in the Web app do not require approval, regardless of whether
"Manager approval" is enabled or disabled. Only the
owner and
managers can approve inventory counts.
Item list in transactions
Show categories: If this settings is enabled, you'll see the full item name, which includes the product or service name preceded by the name of all of its parent categories, when creating or editing transactions.
Comparison. The invoice on the left displays the full item name.
Printed reports do not display the full item name, only the object name (product or service without categories).
Bin Locations
This option lets you enable or disable bin locations for inventory items.
The Bin locations field is a static text field that helps the user know where a product is usually located. Bin locations are displayed on the
Item List page and transactions.
Barcodes
In some workflows product codes and SKUs can be used interchangeably.
In this case it may be useful to equate all product barcodes to SKUs.
The "Set barcodes equal to SKU" checkbox lets you do exactly that.
The
"Set barcodes equal to SKU" will only apply to new products and services added in HandiFox Online or, to products and services downloaded from QuickBooks Online.
In the case when a product has several "units of measure" (UoM), the SKU will be set as the barcode of the
Base Unit of Measure.
Quantity on hand
If "Don't allow negative QOH values" is enabled, the user will be prevented from saving transactions that cause the inventory quantity on hand to go negative or saving transactions that include items with negative quantities on hand.
Serial / Lot numbers
If "Do not allow saving transactions with unassigned serial/lot numbers" is enabled, the user will not be able to save a transaction if for any tracked items, entered serial/lot numbers and/or expiration dates do not account for the whole total quantity specified. This option will work only for new transactions
Transaction Numbering
Here you can adjust the numbering patterns for your purchase
transactions and inventory transfers between sites. For details, see Transaction Numbering.
