HandiFox Online allows users to create Estimates within the system. An Estimate is a quote or proposal you can send to a customer before finalizing a sale.
To create a new estimate in the Web app:
Go to Sales → Sales Transactions → click and select Estimate, or you can simply click Create on the left pane and select Estimate.
Add products to the estimate by selecting from the drop-down list in the Item column. Alternatively, you can set the cursor in the Scan Barcode field and add items using a barcode scanner (requires barcodes to be assigned to items, see Scanning Barcodes).
Choose the Customer.
Add quantities and any additional details as needed.
Review the information and click Save.
All statuses are listed below:
Pending: Estimate is created but has not yet been accepted by the customer.
Accepted: Estimate is marked as accepted by the customer, and you can create a Sales Order based on it.
Converted: Estimate is converted to a Sales Order. You cannot change the status or edit the estimate once it is converted. You can view the associated Sales Order on the estimate's edit page.
Closed: Estimate is closed, and you cannot create a Sales Order from it. You can mark an estimate as closed if you have not heard back from your customer.
Rejected: Customer rejected the estimate, and you cannot create a Sales Order from it.
You can convert an estimate to a Sales Order if its status is Pending or Accepted. If the estimate is Closed or Rejected, you will need to change its status to Accepted or Pending before converting. You can change the status in the Action column by clicking the drop-down menu and selecting Change Status.
